Shortlist announced for the 2017 AGCAS Award for Careers Service Engagement
Six employers have been shortlisted for the AGCAS Award for Careers Service Engagement 2016 following nominations by AGCAS-member higher education careers services. The award is one of the prestigious annual TARGETjobs National Graduate Recruitment Awards.
The award focuses on employers who develop and sustain good working relationships with higher education careers and employability services. The AGCAS Award for Careers Service Engagement promotes the important contribution many employers make to the work of careers and employability services. Voted for by careers and employability professionals, the award recognises those employers who provide outstanding support for careers services’ work with students and graduates.
The following employers have been shortlisted:
The Civil Service - nominated by the University of Kent
For their close relationship with the university to promote graduate recruitment, which involved coordinating a full programme of activities and projects spread throughout the past year.
EY – nominated by the University of Edinburgh
For consistently supporting new initiatives, over and above the traditional interactions with Careers Fairs and vacancies, often taking risks and providing detailed updates and feedback on student applications.
FDM – nominated by Kingston University
For going above and beyond to support the university in any way possible to enhance the employability of its students, whilst working closely with university staff to drastically lower the unemployment rate of graduates.
Goldman Sachs – nominated by the University of Westminster
For their open minded, creative and collaborative approach to working with the university, which has proved extremely beneficial for students and graduates.
Kings Group Spain – nominated by Aston University
For sharing good practice and helping students at Aston University become ‘global professionals’ by offering comprehensive training through their easily accessible international placement opportunities.
TEKEVER – nominated by the University of Southampton
For their commitment, as a local SME, to invest in student development by creating a strong recruitment model for graduates, which has had an excellent impact on students at the university.
