AGCAS Skills Award Task Group is recruiting two new members

AGCAS is currently seeking applications from members for two positions on the AGCAS Skills Award Task Group. The Skills Award Task Group represents the key central functions and staff in higher education institutes that are responsible for coordinating institutional employability and personal development awards. The group consolidates existing research, shares good practice and formulates new research enhancing sector awareness and understanding of existing award schemes.

The group informs the wider AGCAS community through the production of materials and the provision of workshops, webinars and events while externally developing collaborative networks with employers and sector bodies for the benefit of the wider community.

In 2017/18, the group will be focusing on organising a national skills awards conference, continuing with existing research and developing a directory of skills awards. The next group meeting will be held in September 2017.

Applications

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Task Group, please email your CV and a covering letter to Dr Katarina Lezova, Task Group Chair, by Friday 14 July 2017. In your application, explain your motivation to join the Task Group and relevant experience you would bring to the group. The group is looking for committed individuals who want to contribute to the national work on skills awards including research and help to organise the Skills Awards Conference in 2018. Experience with delivering webinars would be desirable.

The Task Group particularly welcomes applications from colleagues with a recently established skills award or those who coordinate an established award scheme but are looking into changing the award format and adjusting its delivery.

If you have any questions regarding the position or the Task Group, please feel free to contact the Chair, via email or phone 020 7717 3158.
