Join the brand new AGCAS Curriculum Design Task Group

The brand new AGCAS Curriculum Design Task Group is seeking up to six new members. This is an exciting time to join this new group to support the AGCAS community with the challenge of embedding employability and careers education within the university curriculum.  

About the task group  

This group seeks to identify good practice and create practical resources to support the AGCAS community collaborate and consult with academic colleagues and key stakeholders to effectively embed employability.  

The initial proposed outputs of the group include:  

·         Collate existing best practice of embedding employability within the curriculum and disseminate to the wider AGCAS community
·         Support the creation of resources and guidance for embedding employability within the curriculum to support effective negotiation and consultation with key stakeholders
·         Research national and international approaches to effective career and employability curriculum design and commission new research if needed
·         Create a community of curriculum focused practitioners from a range of roles and institutions, with a sense of common purpose to share and innovate practice
·         Contribute to conferences or other learning activities within AGCAS and externally to share the work of the group

As this is a new group, the aims, objectives and outputs will be finalised as a group once the membership has been established.  

Person specification  

·         The group is seeking up to six new members who represent the diversity of AGCAS member institutions and the breadth of people working in this area.
·         If you have a particular remit or interest in curriculum design, and think you can bring ideas to contribute to tangible outcomes for the task group, then we would like to hear from you.
·         You will need to be able to attend up to three meetings per year, two of which are face-to-face, and commit to a minimum of a two-year tenure. You will also need to devote time to developing resources and taking part in organising and/or delivering training.
·         Applicants will be expected to have already sought agreement of their potential involvement in the task group from their Head of Service or line manager before applying.
