    A free half-day workshop for careers and employability specialists who are AGCAS Full or Affliate members and provide careers support to Chinese students studying in the UK.

    This course is now FULL

    This two day residential course is suitable for anyone involved in one-to-one advice work with clients, which relates to key areas of employability eg: job search, initial diagnostic work, work experience/placement advice, starting the career planning process and similar advice topics.

    Introduction to Advice, York

    A one-day course designed for the non-guidance professional and aimed at improving the effectiveness of short interactions with clients, involving advice rather than guidance.

    Group Work, Warwick

    This three-day residential course is intended for careers staff working or planning to work with students and other clients in groups and who wish to develop new approaches to planning and delivery.

    Career Development Theories Workshop (2 days), Warwick

    This two-day course is compulsory for registrants studying the Career Development Theories module of the joint AGCAS and The University of Warwick MA, PG Diploma, PG Certificate in Career Education, Information and Guidance in Higher Education (CEIGHE) or related PG Award. It is only available to current AGCAS and Warwick students enrolled on these programmes.

    This three day residential course is suitable for anyone working with students and graduates, who is interested in incorporating coaching skills and strategies into career planning and implementation.

    This AGCAS NE Regional Training day, led by Peter Beven, is for staff involved in guidance and supporting individuals with life choices and career decision making in a Higher Education setting.

    Guidance Refresher, London

    This new one day course is aimed at experienced guidance practitioners who wish to re-visit career theory and models and refresh their skills. The course will be interactive using case studies and exercises alongside presentation and will provide an opportunity to reflect on guidance practice and share strategies.

    Work Experience in HE, Warwick

    This three day residential course is intended to enhance the understanding of the key issues and influences impacting on the delivery of work experience in higher education.
