New developments – gamification in the recruitment process, Sheffield

  1. Wed 27 Jun

This AGCAS NE Regional Training day will give participants an insight into the latest trends and developments in game-based assessments used by a variety of recruiters and the opportunity to explore ways in which careers services can support students and graduates in preparing for these. This event is open to all, particularly those who provide information and advice to students and graduates.

Our guest speaker from Arctic Shores will talk participants through their game-based assessments and give you the opportunity to have a go at activities that candidates face during the recruitment process. We’ll also consider the recruiter’s viewpoint, including how and why they use game-based assessments, as well as give participants the chance to ask questions. There will also be plenty of opportunity for participants to share best practice and discuss in small groups the ways in which careers services can support students and graduates in preparing for and taking game-based assessments.

By the end of this event, participants will have a greater understanding of what ‘gamification’ is and why it is becoming more popular as a recruitment tool. They will also have greater awareness of what other careers services are doing to support students and graduates preparing for game based assessments and have the opportunity to plan provision in their own services.
