Technology in Careers - an update, Warwick

   This one-day course will provide all careers staff with the opportunity to develop and enhance their understanding of how technology is and can be used in careers services. It will be especially useful to those with responsibility for use of technology within their service.

   By the end of this course, participants will have:

   • An understanding of how social media can be better utilised for communication and
      marketing to different client groups

   • An understanding of how services can deliver web resources to students using social media
      tools and services

   • An understanding of the new technologies available to services in their CEIGHE practice

   • An appreciation of how other services are using and applying social media

   • An understanding of how student end users view careers services' use of social media

   • An understanding of the importance of digital footprints and the support students require in
      managing their digital identity

   There will be some pre-course work prior to the day. The lead trainer will contact all participants prior to the course running date.
   
   This is one of three new one-day courses run as a part of the Postgraduate Certificate in CEIGHE under the AGCAS/The University of Warwick Career Information module. Registrants must take all three courses as part of their certificate module. The other courses are Career Information Learning Theories and Writing for the Web.

   The course price includes all tuition, meals and refreshments.

   If you would like to stay at Warwick on the night before the course, please contact Warwick Conferencing (tel: 02476 221111). Please note that AGCAS will not be involved in these 'extra' arrangements and you will be required to pay Warwick directly.

   NB: If you intend to do this course as part of the CEIGHE qualification with The University of Warwick, you need to register for the module with the university. Once AGCAS has offered you a place on the course, you will need to complete a University of Warwick Module Registration Form (available below) and return it as soon as possible, certainly before the course runs, to the university (address on form).
