Training the Trainers, Warwick

A four-day residential course for any staff providing training for peer groups, whether as trainers for AGCAS or running events internally for careers service colleagues, academics or other staff groups. The course is a requirement for The University of Warwick CEIGHE PG Dip and MA registrants on the CE936 Training and Coaching module.
The focus is not on teaching student groups - for this, please consider our Group Work course.
By the end of the course, participants should be able to:
• analyse and implement an appropriate training design model;
• identify the different training roles with AGCAS including that of trainer on the
AGCAS/Warwick qualification courses;
• describe theories of learning and group dynamics;
• demonstrate a range of skills to facilitate the delivery of training courses;
• provide and receive feedback and recognise its role in the assessment process;
• demonstrate coaching and mentoring skills;
• develop a personal action plan.NB: If you intend to do this course as part of a qualification with The University of Warwick you need to register for the module (Module CE936 Training and Coaching) with the university. Once AGCAS has offered you a place on the course you will need to complete The University of Warwick Module Registration Form (please see below) and return it as soon as possible, certainly before the course runs, to the university (address on the form).
If you would like to stay at Warwick on the night before the course please contact Warwick Conferencing. Please note that AGCAS will not be involved in these 'extra' arrangements and you will be required to pay Warwick directly.
