Vacancies on the Professionalism Working Party

AGCAS is currently seeking applications from members for ten vacant positions on the Professionalism Working Party. 

Following the recent launch of the AGCAS strategy, the AGCAS Board proposed the formation of a number of committees and working parties to take forward the strategic pillars.  

The Professionalism Working Party is responsible for delivery of the Quality area of the strategy and will be working on the following strategic activities: 

•    The definition of  professional standards for HE careers professionals and code of conduct/ethics for members 
•    The development of definitions for membership grades and apply to learning opportunities 
•    Identification and recommendation, if appropriate, of routes to professional status
•    The development and implementation of quality assurance systems for member services  

The working party will work with the Community Committee and other key stakeholders in delivering these strategic activities. 

The working party will exist from 1st April 2017 until 28th February 2020 during which time it will report progress on delivery against its principle aims to each meeting of the AGCAS Board. The working party will conclude its activity on 28th February 2020 when it will make a final report and recommendations to the Board of Directors. At this point the working party will disband.

All Full and Affiliate Members of AGCAS are eligible for working party membership however, we are keen to ensure that working parties are inclusive and representative of the AGCAS membership and so we welcome applications from the devolved nations and the English regions to represent: 

•    All mission groups - Russell Group, UA, Million Plus, Guild HE Universities
•    Non-aligned Universities
•    All professional roles within HE Careers Services (including but not restricted to – Advisers, Employer Engagement, Information, Data and Marketing professionals)
