Vacancies on the Research and Knowledge Committee

AGCAS is currently seeking applications from members for 5 vacant positions on the Research and Knowledge Committee.

Following the recent launch of the AGCAS strategy, the AGCAS Board proposed the formation of a number of committees to take forward the strategic pillars.

The Research and Knowledge Committee is responsible for delivery of the Research and Knowledge area of the strategy and will be working on the following strategic activities:

•    Strategic action 1: Encourage and promote research-informed practice in all areas of member services’ activity

Strategic action 2: Develop unique insights into student engagement, needs, preferences and behaviours in relation to careers and employability

Strategic action 3: Facilitate regional, national and international graduate market expertise and its application to our practice and student/graduate outcomes

•    Strategic action 4: Review our output of careers information and publications

The committee works with HESA, AGR, HECSU, HEFCE, the Department of Education and other key stakeholders on a range of issues to develop expertise and intelligence relating to HE student career development and graduate employment.

The committee will meet four times a year and members will be appointed for a three year term. The Committee Terms of Reference are available below.

All Full and Affiliate Members of AGCAS are eligible for committee membership, however we are keen to ensure that committees are inclusive and representative of the AGCAS membership and so we would particularly welcome applications from:
