Information for recruiters
Looking to reach hidden talent?
University careers services work with students and graduates that you might be struggling to reach, including those on placements, gap years, exchange programmes, etc. By getting yourself known to - and valued by - careers services, you can be sure that your message will be relayed to this audience.
AGCAS provides opportunities for recruiters to engage directly with careers services, but not just on a one-to-one basis with a few universities - our membership includes the majority of university careers services around the UK and Ireland, so working with us helps you build relationships with a far greater number of careers professionals than you are likely to be doing at present. But don’t take our word for it: just ask Heinz, Logica, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, The Co-operative, KPMG, the NHS, or any number of recruiters who are already reaping the benefits of working with AGCAS, our members, and the students and graduates whom they serve.
There are plenty of ways you can collaborate with AGCAS and our membership, including:
Produce a DVD with us
Fancy having your brand streamed across university networks throughout the UK, Ireland and beyond? Contribute to the production of an AGCAS DVD and you can do exactly that. Our most recent DVD, Journey to Work, is already being viewed by thousands of students every week, as well as selling copies in South Africa, Australia and elsewhere. View our existing DVD titles here.
Get involved with an AGCAS event
We hold at least two major conferences and run dozens of training courses each year. Well attended by HE careers professionals from the UK and Ireland, these events offer opportunities for exhibiting, workshop delivery, and sponsorship. Of course, we’d love to see you as a delegate too. Bookmark our events page, and contact Chisom Madukwe to make sure you are on our mailing list for future opportunities.
Get your name in print
We’re always communicating with our members – and you could be too. Our journal, e-newsletter and this website are just a few of the ways you can put your message across in black and white (well, full colour actually). See our advertising rates.
Give something back
If you’re really looking to make a statement about your commitment to quality graduate recruitment, then why not support some AGCAS research? Surveys and projects ranging from trends in the graduate labour market to perceptions of discrimination in graduate recruitment can benefit not only your organisation's recruitment practices, but also the sector as a whole. If you have something in mind, then contact Ian Ford to discuss it further.
Work directly with our members
Our members are always looking for recruiters to support their activities by getting involved in curriculum delivery, talking to students, attending fairs, sponsoring products, advertising vacancies, etc. We can put you in touch with members.
