AGCAS Awards 2015: winners announced

The results of the 2015 AGCAS Awards for Excellence have been announced. Winners were presented with their awards at the AGCAS Annual Conference for HE Careers and Employability Professionals conference dinner and awards ceremony in Warwick.




AGCAS' TARGETjobs Award - employer nominations sought

For the ninth time, AGCAS has been invited by GTI to judge an award at the annual TARGETjobs National Graduate Recruitment Awards to be presented at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London on Wednesday 3 April 2013. Once more, the title will be The AGCAS Award for Excellence in Careers Service Engagement.




AGCAS Awards for Excellence 2013: Shortlists announced

The shortlisted nominations for the AGCAS Awards for Excellence 2013 have been announced. Nominations were received in 11 different categories for a wide range of projects from AGCAS member services in all parts of the UK.




AGCAS announces 2013 awards winners

The results of the 2013 AGCAS Awards for Excellence have been announced. Winners were presented with their awards at an official ceremony and dinner as part of the AGCAS Biennial Conference at the University of Exeter, earlier this month. The number of nominations received in each category is evidence of the high-quality, innovative and collaborative work taking place at AGCAS member services across the country.




University of Exeter: Partnership with Exeter City Football Club

The University of Exeter won the AGCAS Careers Service/Employer Partnership Award at the AGCAS Biennial Conference 2013 for their strategic partnership with Exeter City Football Club (ECFC) to provide valuable knowledge and expertise to the football club through the creation of work experience for students.




University of Ulster: Internship programmes

Employability and Marketing at the University of Ulster won the AGCAS Award for Employer Engagement (in association with AGR) for engaging employers through two key graduate internship programmes: the Professional Experience Programme (PEP); and Santander supported graduate internships with local SMEs.




TARGETjobs Awards 2014: Nominate an employer

We have chosen as its title: The AGCAS Award for Excellence in Careers and Employability Service Engagement.




AGCAS to sponsor TARGETjobs award 2015

AGCAS has once again been invited to sponsor one of the main awards at the annual TARGETjobs National Graduate Recruitment Awards 2015. We will be seeking nominations for The AGCAS Award for Careers Service Engagement early in the new year. The awards ceremony, now in its 11th year, will take place at Mayfair's Grosvenor House on 1 April 2015.




Nominations open for TARGETjobs award 2015

AGCAS has been invited, for the eleventh year, to judge and present the AGCAS Award for Careers Service Engagement at the 2015 TARGETjobs National Graduate Recruitment Awards. The award focuses on employers who develop and sustain good working relationships with higher education careers and employability services. The award recognises those employers who provide outstanding support for careers services' work with students and graduates.

Six employers have been shortlisted for the AGCAS Award for Careers Service Engagement 2015. They were all nominated by higher education careers services. The award is one of the prestigious annual TARGETjobs National Graduate Recruitment Awards.




Capturing employer engagement - Phoenix articles wanted

The Phoenix Editorial Team is seeking articles for the next issue of AGCAS's digital journal, which is due to be published in February 2016. The main theme of the next issue will be Employer Engagement. The Editorial Team is interested in receiving examples of good/innovative practice, evidence of research, views or opinion pieces on a range of topics based on recent and/or previous experience of working with all types of employers from all sectors.

The AGCAS Employer Action Task Group is currently seeking new members to join the group. Expressions of interest are welcome from all AGCAS members but, in particular, from members in Scotland, the South West, East Anglia and London, as these areas are not currently represented on the group.

AGCAS Graduate Labour Market and Student Engagement Survey

This annual survey aims to build an informative dataset of the graduate labour market as it evolves and develops over time. The AGCAS survey is unique as it taps directly into the practical knowledge and experience of the graduate labour market from the leaders of higher education careers and employability services throughout the UK.

AGCAS first undertook this survey in 2014. The survey was repeated in 2015 and in 2016.
