Suggestions for new Job Profiles in 2017 wanted

As part of our joint commitment with Graduate Prospects to ensure career resources are relevant and current, AGCAS and Graduate Prospects are looking to further expand the series of Job Profiles in 2017. Please see the Prospects website for the full list of current Job Profiles and the AGCAS website for the list of new Job Profiles scheduled for 2016.




UK approaches Brexit with strongest jobs market since the recession

Findings from the 2016 edition of What Do Graduates Do? reveal that the unemployment rate for graduates six months after leaving university is 5.7%, a significant fall from 6.3% in 2015.

The report also highlights that graduates are working in more professional roles with the proportion in non-graduate jobs after six months falling from 32% in 2015 to 29% in 2016.

The 2016 report gives a thorough picture of the destinations of last year’s 247,835 UK domiciled first degree graduates in January 2016, six months after they had left university.




PAID writing opportunities: 10 new titles

As part of our commitment with Graduate Prospects to produce relevant careers resources, we are introducing ten new What Can I Do With My Degree titles onto the Prospects website. As they need to be written from scratch, we're offering £200 per title. This work has to meet the writer guidelines and deadline, and include submission of at least one case study.




Graduate recruitment market set to get more competitive
The Chief Executive of the Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR) warns that the student recruitment market will only get more competitive as the pool of young people shrinks.
