Diversity Task Group establishes link with AGR

Members of the AGCAS Diversity Task Group have met with Gary Argent, Business Operations Manager at AGR, to discuss facilitating a better working relationship with employers and to identify joint areas of key concern relating to diversity in the workplace.

A Quick Guide to Age Diversity Issues
A Quick Guide to Age Diversity Issues has been produced for AGCAS colleagues by the Age Diversity Task Group. The guide aims to answer some of the most common questions raised since the introduction of age legislation in October 2006.




What Does 'Career' Mean to People in their 60th Year?
This is a qualitative study based on interviews with 22 people born in 1948 and 1949. The aim of the research was to explore what 'career' means to people approaching 60, but also to identify distinctive factors of the careers of this age group.

AGCAS Diversity Matters, produced in collaboration with GTI Media, is targeted primarily at graduate jobseekers but will be useful to anybody interested in employment and diversity, whether as someone directly affected by the issues it addresses or in a professional capacity.

It concludes with a set of recommendations aimed at a wide variety of stakeholders, as well as a commitment for further UUK work in this area.




Intentions After Graduation Survey 2013: Initial findings

This report shows the results of the first Intentions After Graduation Survey (IAGS). The survey was offered to all online first degree respondents of the National Student Survey (NSS) and aimed to capture the intentions of final year undergraduates with respect to future study and employment options. This survey provides a baseline of the attitudes towards postgraduate study prior to surveying cohorts affected by the 2012 fee reforms.
