    Need a new challenge? Come and help us improve the delivery of careers and employability services at The Open University at an exciting time for these services which have been confirmed as a strategic priority for the University and which are receiving significant additional investment.

    Our students’ circumstances vary widely including those in prison, with caring responsibilities, from widening participation backgrounds and with disabilities. We support students at every career stage.

    This is a unique opportunity to lead the development and implementation of new quality assurance standards and procedures for both our one-to-one and one-to-many services. You will also coordinate training and development support for staff within our expanding service. There will also be opportunities to stretch your online delivery skills, as you will support the planning and delivery of our innovative services including online forums and webinars.

    You will have a first degree, a professional careers qualification, or equivalent, and proven experience in delivering careers advice and guidance preferably within higher education and through online media, and experience of relevant quality assurance processes.

    As part of Careers and Employability Services you need to be able to adapt rapidly to change, show initiative and solve problems creatively. An understanding of the needs of adult or distance learners is an advantage.
